The launching of DESERTFEST in 2012 was quite the deal for European stonerheads. Last year, Desertscene brought up this great new underground event to London, starring reference bands such as Ancestors, Corrosion of Conformity, Karma to Burn or Orange Goblin… The festival has been acclaimed all through the web for its fine lineup and friendly atmosphere. As a promising rendez-vous, Desertscene is already preparing the way for the 2013 DESERTFEST edition, with some pretty attractive names…
“Rock’n’roll is taking back Camden”. Being able to see our fave acts outside an average festival context, which means in the small clubs of one of the most major cities when it comes to music in Europe, I mean LONDON ? Hell yes we’re ready again ! Like in 2012, the events will take place in The Underworld, The Purple Turtle, The Black Heart and The Electric Ballroom (and all those combined make total sense, if you ask me).
For its second edition, DESERTFEST will raise from the dead a handful of iconic bands, so just hold to your seatbelts. Kyuss’ swedish brother-in-arms DOZER will make the buzz fuzz out of the festival, reuniting for this special occasion : beware, a desert storm can so easily happen…
LOWRIDER will also take part in this massive mass by reuniting as well ! In addition to that, we’ll get some smooth psyche revival with German brothers KADAVAR, some solid doom and sludge representatives with RAMESSES, PAGAN ALTAR and BLACK MOTH, and even some tasty stoner from Texas with WO-FAT.
