Summer is here and you’ve probably got your festival schedule already booked, and we sure don’t want to call the perspective of fall to mind YET there are some events you need to know about. Those festivals will help you cope with the post-summer comedown, by bringing their batch of heaviness and fine headliners into your lives.
FALL OF SUMMER – 4-5th September – Torcy (France)
This one is for the most extreme metallers here. FOS pick the heaviest and darkest frontrunners to blast your brains from death to thrash to doom metal, and make you have the best time by the Torcy lake, located 30 kilometers from Paris. Coroner, Triptykon, Candlemass, Gama Bomb, Angel Witch, Barabbas…

REVERENCE VALADA – 27-29th August – Valada (Portugal)
This is undoubtedly the best heavy and psych festival on the whole Iberian Peninsula. Within three days, you’ll see the greatest international acts playing across multiple stages by the Tage river. The atmosphere is so friendly and chilled-out that you won’t want to leave anymore. A must-see.

UP IN SMOKE FEST – 2-3rd October – Pratteln (Switzerland)
As far as the European stoner scene is concerned, UP IN SMOKE is a safe bet. With its the Z7’s all-in-one setup, you can’t miss any of the performers, which are handpicked with lots of passion amongst the most exciting acts in the stoner/psych/doom scene. No surprise, as rad bookers Sound Of Liberation are behind this one. Go for it 200%.

DESERTFEST BELGIUM – 9-11th October – Antwerp (Belgium)
Now we’re talking about a reference event, although it’s only the second year. Last year we had Electric Wizard, Yob, Pallbearer, Fu Manchu, Kadavar… And we had a blast. The fest has only announced ten names (Melvins! OG! Fatso!), yet many people have already booked their – 4 stars – hotel in Antwerpen… Just so you know.

KEEP IT LOW FEST – 16-17th October – Munchen (Germany)
Keep It Low usually sells out pretty fast, so if you fancy a full weekend of psyched out tunes and rock’n’roll, then Munchen is where you need to head to, right after Desertfest. The summer will keep gleaming in your hearts after this one, we promise.
