After releasing the brilliant movie “TRUCKFIGHTERS (Fuzzomentary)” about the daily life of Swedish stoner rock band Truckfighters, director Joerg Steineck set himself another challenge with the first documentary about the desert rock scene. “LO SOUND DESERT” is a trip under the sun of Palm Desert together with Josh Homme, Brant Bjork or even Mario Lalli, it’s one hour and a half into the core of a movement that has never quit spreading…
Here’s what you would get with this fabulous independent rockumentary. But when one says “independent”, it means “no financial means”, so if you want to have a chance to see this movie : help, donate and spread the word !
“”LO SOUND DESERT” is a music documentary by Joerg Steineck about californian desert rock and its underground spread. It provides intimate inside into the scene’s past and progress narrated by some of the main protagonists: Josh Homme, Brant Bjork, Mario Lalli, Scott Reeder, Nick Oliveri, Alfredo Hernandez (members of well known bands like Queens Of The Stone Age, Kyuss, Fatso Jetson etc) – to name a few.
They lead through unconditioned rehearsal garages, wasteland venues in the nowhere of the californian desert and smoked-up european backstage rooms.”
